The second Global Changer webinar included practical impulse lectures on sustainability in the real estate industry.

The Speakers

Markus Weigold - Partner & Chairman of the Executive Board, Drees & Sommer

Markus Weigold (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Construction, M.Eng. International PM) is a partner at Drees & Sommer and responsible for the Berlin office, the Drees & Sommer Capital Office and the Startup Hub. Major Berlin lighthouse projects that he supports as a consultant include the Heidestrasse quarter, Siemensstadt 2.0, the 50Hertz Netzquartier and the Zalando Campus. His previous professional stations were in Frankfurt and Vienna as project manager and consultant at Drees & Sommer and in Stuttgart as planner and site manager at the planning company Zindel & Partner.

Ulrike Beringer - Manager CSR and Corporate Communications, Nemetschek Group

Ulrike Beringer is responsible for sustainability at the Nemetschek Group, one of the leading vendors of software for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry. Under her leadership, the group has developed a CSR strategy and is driving forward the issue of resource conservation in the construction industry. Ulrike is also responsible for corporate communications at the Nemetschek Group. She has many years of professional experience in the software and services industry.

Emanuel Heisenberg - Co-Founder, ecoworks

Emanuel is a co-founder of ecoworks, the first German provider of Net Zero modernizations. Ecoworks also uses industrial prefabrication, modular construction methods and highly efficient energy systems to refurbish apartment buildings with up to four floors to net zero energy consumption within a few days: over the year, a house modernized by us generates at least as much electricity as its tenants consume for space heating, hot water and household electricity.

Martin Pietzonka - Head of Innovation Services, Start-up Hub Berlin, Drees & Sommer

Martin Pietzonka (Dipl.-Kaufmann) is Head of Innovation Services at Drees & Sommer's Berlin start-up hub and in this position is responsible for setting up and expanding the hub, innovation management, scouting and cooperation with start-ups, and for implementing digitization topics. Prior to joining Drees & Sommer, he was Managing Director of a cross-industry innovation network, Consultant with a focus on technology transfer and start-up projects and Category Manager at a Rocket Internet e-commerce company. During his professional career, Martin has supported more than 30 innovation workshops and projects and advised more than 100 startups in all industries on the development of their business models, business plans, strategies and venture capital financing.

Tobias Martetschläger - Co-Founder & CEO, Global Changer

Tobias is a tech entrepreneur, co-founder of Endless Motion (creative agency), ConnectWorks (event tech) and partner at Artificial Link. He is co-founder of Global Changer, a non-profit organization that helps companies and their employees become climate positive. Global Changer offers various solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and qualitative investments in climate protection projects. He is also responsible for this global initiative to establish best practices in companies.
